In 2008 a large federal survey financed by the National Institutes of Health found that more than 33 percent of adults and nearly 12% of children in the United States utilize complementary and alternative medicine. People are realizing that natural methods of healing work.
The Westchester Center for Natural Health focuses on providing some of the most effective approaches to natural healing – Naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, and acupuncture and Chinese medicine. At the center two naturopaths, Dr. Angelica Lemke, ND, and Dr. Marizelle Arce, ND provide consultation to individuals of all ages, with health concerns ranging from acute infections to chronic autoimmune disorders. Ryan Kirkby, LAc, and Charmaine Oakley, LAc, LMT, provide acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and bodywork.

Naturopathic licensure in New York state, which has been on the table for many years, is close to passing this session. Licensure would mean a greater scope of practice and the potential ability to accept insurance in the state, so it is of interest not just to the practitioners but to any potential patients. If you have a chance, watch this video on ND licensure in the state, send the link to others who may be interested, and help support this effort because its greatest benefit is to you! WCNH looks forward to welcoming Dr. Marizelle Arce to our practice. Dr. Arce is an ND who practices a wide range of natural modalities including applied kinesiology, hydrotherapy, botanical medicine, Reiki, whole food-based nutrition, and personal training. Please see her bio page, our appointments page, and our modalities page for more information.
As of March, Dr. Lemke's Pleasantville practice is full and she will not be taking any new clients at this time. We have a second Naturopath joining the center in June, and new appointments will resume then. All existing clients may continue to follow up with Dr. Lemke as usual - see our center hours on the appointments page. Dr. Lemke is also available in Manhattan, where she practices through Homeopathic Services.
In addition to practice at her Pleasantville clinic, Dr. Lemke is now working together with Pierre Fontaine, RHom, in New York City three days a week, practicing Pierre's unique approach for the homeopathic treatment of chidren with ASD and other developmental disorders. Dr. Lemke does not offer this approach or skype consultations through her private practice in Pleasantville.
